Leaders in semiconductor innovation; creating ultra-thin, ultra-low-cost, flexible integrated circuits

Pragmatic has developed a unique integrated circuit platform that doesn’t rely on silicon. Our revolutionary technology uses thin-film semiconductors to create flexible integrated circuits that are thinner than a human hair, and significantly cheaper and faster to produce than silicon chips. The ultra-thin, ultra-low cost, flexible form factor of our chips makes it possible to embed them into almost anything, bringing connectivity and intelligence to everyday objects.

Example applications include radio frequency identification (RFID) and near field communications (NFC), where our chips allow everyday objects to be given unique digital identities as well as interact with their environment. This brings game-changing benefits to the entire product lifecycle, including inventory reduction, traceability, counterfeit detection, proof of provenance, and customer interaction. Pragmatic’s technology is a key enabler for a circular economy and supporting sustainability goals, preserving valuable resources by allowing organisations to effectively reduce, recycle and reuse products and materials.

New Report: How can the UK turbocharge its ambition to become a science and technology superpower?

We are dedicated to playing our part in growing the UK’s science and technology industry. We proudly launch our new report ‘How can the UK turbocharge its ambition to become a science and technology superpower?’

Based on views shared at our parliamentary roundtable earlier this year, and new data from a survey of UK leaders of science and technology businesses, the report makes a series of recommendations for how the Government can realise its science and technology ambitions.

Pioneering sustainable semiconductor manufacturing

Pragmatic is committed to addressing the carbon impact of semiconductor manufacturing, working with industry leaders to create innovative techniques that decrease carbon emissions, improve resource efficiency and productivity, and achieve net zero semiconductor manufacturing.

We’ve produced two white papers; the first exploring our world-leading approach to making our manufacturing process more sustainable and the second looking at the life cycle analysis of our primary product, FlexICs.
