Pragmatic extends EUROPRACTICE partnership to offer full-wafer FlexIC production for academia

Pragmatic is delighted to extend its partnership with EUROPRACTICE, appointing them as the official partner for academic and research institutions.

EUROPRACTICE is a consortium of research organisations that provides European industry and academia with a platform to develop electronic circuits and systems. The organisation began offering FlexICs through its MPW service in July 2023.

The extended partnership will give institutions access to dedicated full-wafer FlexIC production, in addition to the existing multi-project wafer (MPW) service.

“We are delighted to build on the success of our relationship with EUROPRACTICE,” said Dr Francesca Bottacchi, Pragmatic’s Account Manager, Foundry.

“The physical flexibility of FlexICs enables novel use cases that are simply not possible with conventional silicon chips.

“This enhanced partnership will broaden the benefits available to institutions, giving greater scope to research and innovation.”

“With full-wafer runs at Pragmatic, our EUROPRACTICE customers can explore a wide range of new possibilities and benefit from the flexibility of on-demand tape-outs,” said Dr Maria Martinez Valado, Program Manager at imec.

“Pragmatic’s FlexIC technology is already in high demand among our users and we are eager to support them as they take their projects to the next level.”
