RFID Journal Live

RFID Journal Live is the world’s largest conference and exhibition focused on radio frequency identification and related technologies.

Pragmatic’s unique flexible integrated circuit (FlexIC) technology can open up opportunities to add intelligence to low-value products – those that do not need the cutting-edge performance of silicon chips.

Our CEO David Moore, CCO Alastair Hanlon, Commercial Director Paul Garner-Evans (PG) and Senior RF Product Manager Simon Kirk was on booth 224, and met with customers, partners and industry peers looking to harness the potential of next-generation smart devices.

‘Revolutionizing Semiconductor Technology – A Flexible Approach to Item Level Intelligence’

Wednesday 10th April | 8:45am-9:25am | Room 360

In this session, our CEO, David Moore discussed how Pragmatic’s innovations provide item-level intelligence across a wide range of RFID/NFC applications and realize the company’s vision to see Pragmatic technology deployed by our customers in 1 trillion sustainable smart items over the next decade.

Our technology

Pragmatic Semiconductor is revolutionising semiconductor fabrication with flexible integrated circuit (FlexIC) technology. Low-cost, more sustainable alternatives to silicon, FlexICs, are ultra-thin, with a flexible form factor, and enable connect, sense and compute capabilities.

Using thin-film transistor (TFT) technology in combination with conventional semiconductor processing equipment, our state-of-the-art, 300mm FlexIC Foundry® service takes FlexICs from tape-out to delivery in just four weeks, at a fraction of the cost of silicon chips.
